The show began in the fall of 2008 as the University of North Carolina-Wilmington College Republican Podcast (or UNCW CR Podcast for short). However, shortly after the show's inception the show name was change to Right On Campus. While the show began as just a podcast it was also streamed live over the internet on ustream. The show began with three hosts, Tyler Cralle, Kevin King, and Tyler Millage and broadcasting was done out of a spare bedroom that was turned into a make shift radio studio.

After six months the show went on hiatus at the end of the school year and as Tyler Cralle and Kevin King focused most of their attention on their TV show of the same name.
At the end of summer in 2009 the radio show reemerged on the recently formed UNCW internet radio station, Hawkstream Radio. The show did change format slightly moving from three hosts to two. Right On Campus with Tyler Cralle and Kevin King was streamed monday morning from 10am-Noon.

After several appearances on the "Morning Beat w/ Curtis Wright", in November of 2009 Tyler Cralle and Kevin King began talks with Sea-Comm Media to move their show to the The Big Talker FM in Wilmington, NC. On December 7th, 2009 Right On Campus: After Hours w/ Tyler Cralle and Kevin King debuted on the The Big Talker FM.

Right On Campus: After Hours can now be heard Monday-Friday 10pm-12am on the The Big Talker FM 93.7 and 106.3fm. The show is also streamd around the world at Thebigtalkerfm.com. A best of version (the 8 best segments chosen from the previous week) can still be heard on UNCW's Hawkstream Radio
